Chris and I hiked down yesterday to enjoy some time off the mountain. I took some pictures for you to enjoy. The leaves are on their way to perfection. This weekend should bring a beautiful display of colors.

A buddy and I will be on the mountain next week, Oct. 20-22, staying at your lodge on Thurs night. This trip is his 47th, and my first. Your blog and pix have been so inspiring that I won't have to worry about killing my feet in new boots. I am so pumped up I think I will float to the top. Can't wait either - see you then. Thanks

Thanks for all of the pictures ... for a number years my wife and I hiked up the Sunday prior to Thanksgiving .. always giving us a great diversity of weather .. we hope to do so again; however at present my wife is a heart transplant candidate at Brigham and Women's in Boston. There were several regulars who also came up on that date, please past on this news. Especially to the "doc" who ran the ER in Cookville, TN ..your pictures give us a virtual "trip" Many Thanks

I hiked up Charlie's Bunion last Friday and noticed that the leaves were starting to change on Brushy Mountain (looks like a bald) and in the Porters Flats area. I can only imagine how beautiful it must look like this weekend - and next!

So glad I'm headed home this weekend for my fall break. I'm attending school in Memphis, and the leaves are just now starting to turn, and even then it's nothing compared to my beautiful mountains. :)
