The weather looks great on the mountain. The sun came out yesterday and warmed things up. The high yesterday was 57 with a low of 44. I expect there will be a lot of people hiking up today to enjoy the views. See you up top.

Today is my Birthday and yesterday I made my first trip up to the lodge via the Alum Trail. The trip was great and the views despite the fog, was awesome!

Harriett and I finally got home from Gatlinburg, trying to catch up. Our 2 days at Leconte were.....EXHILARATING for those who haven't hiked up. For those who have, I don't have to think up words to describe the joy.

Allyson, you and staff, as usual, topped off the pleasure. Chrissy made the arrival very welcoming and fun. We're on the Oct./ Nov. waiting list and hoping! Also food was great and if I have skipped anything it was great too!

Way to go Gracie! Neat job on Fort LeConte! We really enjoyed our 25th trip up. Beautiful weather and the accomodations and staff couldn't be better. Thanks to all and see you next year.

Hiked to the fire tower on Mt. Cammerer via Low Gap Trail. Pretty tough climb, but worth it. Great day!!!
