April.18.2016. Woooooo doggy

4/18/2016

It was amazing yesterday, clear skies, 58 degrees, what more could you ask for?

Hiking up to Cliff Tops and enjoying the rays made the day, if not the week.

It looks like we might have more fantastic weather despite the 31 overnight low.

Woooooo doggy, what pretty weather you seem to be having! My daughters laugh (and disown me) whenever I say "hot diggity dogs"! Years ago, when my call into a popular local Austin radio station was answered and I won tickets to see George Strait in concert, my reply was "hot diggity dogs'. That played over and over for a couple of days and my family was so embarrassed! Have a beautiful day!

Come on, you can at least give us a Blue Angels report. How was the view? Any sonic booms?

This is weather I want to bottle up, put into storage, and break out when it's gray and 31 degrees in January for a 6th straight day. Also, I hope that everyone at the Lodge remembered their taxes!

Tammy sooooooooogood to hear a good ole southern expression and someone that loves GeorgeS.Did you go to his concert in Arlington?Wish I could meet you sometime on a trail but afraid I(we) can't make it to the Lodge again 79-85 a little too old.LOLI go into withdrawals if I can't read the blog daily. Was in P.F.a wk.in March but didn't get to do much hiking, will be going 1st.of June to see Fire Flies and may we can do Alum again .It was closed mom-thur.in nov.but open fri.and wk-ends don't know if it is completed or not.It is so much easier as far as it has been re-done but so busy you couldn't hardly walk.We have been 3times to Grotto Falls to see Llams come down but all there times they couldn't go because of trees on trail etc.maybe can try again in June.HAGD

tgb....we love George Strait, our home grown South Texas boy, down here! Amarillo By Morning is "our" song. No, I didn't see him in Arlington. And actually, I didn't even get to see him in concert when I won those tickets. He's my husband's favorite and one of my daughters wanted to go with her daddy soooo bad that I let the two of them enjoy that evening together! Sometimes moms make sacrifices! I hope to meet you on the trails someday too. Maybe we'll be in the area at the same time one of these days. We have a reservation up at the lodge in late October for a few nights. Have a good evening!
