Rain, mist, mountains, bears...sounds like a horror movie.

It was 61 yesterday!
Toasty!

A 44 night was equally toasty.

But it will rain today guys! No joke, the rain is going to pile up, bring your gaiters, jackets, the works.
Picture
The llamas are going to get drenched on the way down, poor boys.

It sounds like it will be a wet weekend so please pack accordingly.

Let us know if you see any bears around!

May.19.2016. In a cloud

It was foggy yesterday!

54, foggy, but cleared up enough for a beautiful 44 night with a partially full moon.

Mr. Bear walked around camp yesterday so if you see him or any of his relatives along the trails let us know if you can see any tags on their ears.

May.18.16. You walking towards me, punk?

5/18/2016

The off and on showers let up enough for a gorgeous 54 day and a 44 clear night.

It is currently clear and nice but there is a strong possibility of thunderstorms this week, bring some rain gear!

These bears are sure popping out everywhere.

Please do NOT feed them or leave food trash around.

Clap your hands and make loud noises so they turn tail.

Llama day!

The crew would like to thank the lovely people from Chattanooga for the newspaper and pineapple!

May.17.2016. It's raining, it's pouring, we wish it was sunny

5/17/2016

Rain!

Rain everybody!

This week, it's happening.

At least it didn't freeze last night, 52 turned to 33 and it seemed warm and kindly.
Picture
We had a bunch of fun guests last night, one of whom had separation anxiety towards his protein bars.

It's ok though, the mice didn't get them.

Thanks a lot, Bearbait, for all your...hospitality on the trail....?

Bring your rain stuff, guys!

May.16.2016. Strange days

5/16/2016

22!

The overnight low was 22 after a pleasantly sunny 42, and boy does it sound like we're going to get some more of the same this week.

Plus some rain!

Pack for rain!
Picture
The llamas are coming up Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday this week so please leave room for them in the Trillium parking lot!

Alum Cave is closed Monday through Thursday so plan accordingly.

Thank you to Buddy for the blueberries and Tail dragged and Bearbait better behave the

May.15.2016. Brrrrrrrr!

5/15/2016

The night was surprising!

An overcast 44 turned to a freezing 22!

We are all ready for a warm sunny day.
Picture
Hopefully a sign for the day
Pack warmly!

The llamas are gracing us with their presence today, come and see them!

May.14.2016. Grey clouds

5/14/2016

It's a a bit chilly out here today!

A 50 day dropped to 37 and boy, it's a layer day.

Windbreakers and rain gear are strongly recommended.

Picture
It sure doesn't look like this today
Please remember to hike out everything you hiked in.

Llamas are coming up Trillium tomorrow, make sure the boys have room in the parking lot!

May.12.2016. Bear watch

5/12/2016

 Bears are everywhere it seems!

So many sighted by our guests yesterday, it's ridiculous.

If you come across a bear on the trail do not run from it! Instead make loud noises and stand your ground.

Clapping works wonders.

62 degrees with 49 overnight weather really seems to bring them out.
Picture
Keep your eyes and ears open and let us know where you see a bear.

Get out and enjoy this gorgeous weather today!

May.11.16. Misty mountain fog

5/11/2016

The wind is still here!

Zephyr seems to camped out up here.

54 for the high and the night was a super mild 42.

There were also quite a few bear sightings yesterday so please keep an eye out and let us know where they're spotted!

Picture
The llamas are coming up today!

Pack your rain gear for the trip up, you'll need it!

May.10.2016. Blustery bit of wind

5/10/2016

It is winnnnnndy!

A cloudy 56 day was replaced with a partially cloudy night of 42.

Currently the sun is busting its way out so maybe we'll see an upgrade to full sun.

That would be spectacular.

The wind chill demands a windbreaker today!

Thank you to whoever left us with the raspberries and candy last week, we really enjoyed those treats!

Thank you Uncle Gary for the strawberries!
