Good Morning, This morning we woke to a dense blanket of fog covering all of camp. The fog has cleared a good bit but only to reveal rain clouds on the horizon heading our way. The porches off the cabins at LeConte Lodge just might be the best place to sit back, relax and watch the rain clouds roll in. Temperatures are still remaining in the warm mid 50 degrees and only dropping into the lower 40s at night. Rain is on the forecast for today so take care on the trails today as there might be a few slick spots. -Adventure is out there.

Good Morning, All is quiet at these early hours of the morning. The only sound to be heard is that warm boil of coffee brewing for not even the birds are up yet. All is well on the mountain this morning as we inch out of bed to welcome in another beautiful sunrise. There is a slight chance of a little rain for us today but should remain warm as the temperatures are expected to be in the mid 50s with lows only dropping into the mid 40s tonight. As of 6:00 AM there are no rain clouds insight but a strong breeze is in the air and likely carrying some rain clouds our way. -Adventure is out there.

We are starting to feel spring in the air as temperatures today reached as high as 55 degrees. With the sunshining bright today and slight breeze in the air, all of crew can't help but relax outside. There is little chance of rain tonight and lows expected to be in the upper 40s. We only hope these nice conditions last into the weekend. -Adventure is out there.
(35.654261, -83.436827) Greetings All, One cannot simply ring the dinner bell at LeConte Lodge, it takes lots of discipline and practice. Over the years we have developed what might be considered by those in the professional triangle bell ringing community as the perfect technique. Judges keep a close eye on the bell ringer for proper stance, duration of ring, intensity of ring and facial expressions to determine a fair score. If you think you have what it takes to become a LeConte Lodge Professional Bell ringer then come see us at the top! The expected rain storms are still holding back as we have only received light showers scattered throughout the day. Temperatures are staying consistent this week floating in the mid 40 degrees while only dropping to around 38 degrees at night. -Adventure is out there.
Good Afternoon All, Storm clouds are rolling in on us today. No rain has fallen so far today as the dark clouds just linger over the mountain at a distance so close you could almost reach out and push them away. There are times throughout the day when a little ray of sunshine will poke past the dark clouds giving crew a bit of hope that maybe, just maybe, the rain will pass us by. Temperatures are staying in the comfortable mid 40s with little to no winds. Our nights here are continuing to stay above freezing as we rarely drop below 38 degrees. Forecasts are calling for a small chance of thunderstorms scattered over the next 24 hours so be sure to bring all your rain gear if you are planning a trip up to see us. The llamas were able to beat the rain today! -Adventure is out there.
(35.654261, -83.436827) Good afternoon,
This month has been bringing us lots of sunny days here at the lodge but today has been more of a rainy chill day. Temperatures are keeping in the low 40s with light rain showers scattered throughout the afternoon. For those planning a hike up the mountain should bring their rain gear and layer up. The lows at night are staying above freezing as they linger around the mid 30 degrees. Time tends to slow down when living on top of a mountain which leads to more time to appreciate the little things. So if you find yourself caught up in that busy city life and care for a little break then come relax with us at the lodge and take in all the wonders nature has to offer. Good Afternoon! Temps are staying warm (50s-60s) and bring continuous sunshine and life to the mountain. As we head into the weekend, we will receive rain and thunderstorms beginning overnight and continuing through Saturday and Sunday. Remember those waterproof layers and enjoy the warm weather! Assistant Manager, Allison, dressed as Chewbacca. May the fourth be with you!!
Good afternoon all, We are all loving the beautiful weather. We woke up to low 40s and are at 62 degrees currently. Throughout the afternoon, we will get to the mid 50s and should stay there overnight. Tomorrow brings promises of warm weather as well! Jack "Jack Jack" is three and a half years old and is training to be the lead llama of one of our llama trains! While in training, it takes the typical llama six trips to make it to the lodge without a load. Today, on Jack's fourth trip, he made it to the lodge with General Manager (Papa John) in the lead. While Jack is the sweet and gentle baby of the farm, he's shows tremendous promise and is on the fast track to becoming a lead llama. -Adventure is out there.
(35.654261, -83.436827) Greetings, Still enjoying the lovely weather up on top! Lows last night hit the low 40s but we bounced back and are in the upper 50s currently. Overnight and tomorrow, we are expecting a repeat of today. Come enjoy the nice warm weather with us! Just a quick reminder, our llamas will be summiting tomorrow, Thursday May 3rd instead of Friday! -Adventure is out there.
(35.654261, -83.436827) Good Afternoon! Yet another gorgeous day in paradise waking up to temps in the low 40s, and warming up throughout the day as the sun came into view. Currently sitting at 59 degrees, we should reach the low 60s before the sun sets tonight. Overnight, we are expected to stay between 40-50 degrees with no rain in sight. Enjoy this clear, warm day! -Adventure is out there.
