Good Morning All,
It is another foggy morning for us at 6593 feet. Forecast are not showing any promising signs that it will let up today. Chances of rain start later this afternoon and continue into the night. Though it was rainy yesterday we only got 0.1 inches. So fingers crossed today is another light rain day. Still be sure to pack that rain gear. Trail conditions are expected to be wet, especially on Rainbow Falls trail. With not much sunlight at all able to make it through these thick clouds we are staying pretty chilly today. It is currently 58 degrees and only looking to rise a few more degrees into the low 60s.

Good Afternoon,
It looks like we are going to spend today in the clouds. A heavy fog lingers over camp giving it a nice cozy feel. Small scattered showers and lack of sunshine has temperatures staying low today, currently 58 degrees. Be sure to bring that rain gear and an extra warm layer. With the heaters going and the hot coffee pouring, its a great day to watch the fog rolling through camp from inside the lodge. These scattered showers are expected to continue for the better part of the day. Tomorrow morning looks to be a clear one but chances of more rain to follow in the late afternoon. Our overnight lows continue to stay in the low 50s. Good Morning All,
I can't believe our luck, with two beautiful days in a row. Clear blue sky all the way to the valley floor below. The contrast of so much green with the bright blue sky in the backdrop has everyone gazing out into the views. No rain on the forecast for today. With so much direct sunshine we are warming up quick. Currently 65 degrees and rising. Last nights low dropped to 53 degrees. After several days of heavy rain followed by two sunshine filled days we are expecting those wildflowers to start popping up any moment. At the lower elevations of the trails you can already see plenty of gorgeous wildflowers. Most of the crew have already set up their hammocks for the day and plan on enjoying the easy life in this awesome weather. I am seeing a slight chance of some rain tomorrow afternoon but fingers crossed it passes over. Good afternoon,
After what seemed like an eternity of rain filled days we are excited to announce that we have a rain free day filled with sunshine. All of crew have already hit the trails for their afternoon off. Most have chosen to set up a spot at myrtle point with a good book and soak up the sunshine. It is currently 68 degrees. Our overnight low only dropped to 52 degrees. We have some small chances of scattered showers tomorrow afternoon. Good Morning,
Over the last 24 hours, we’ve ranged from a chilly 52 degrees to a warm 65. Every time I walked outside it was a little different and the late afternoon rain allowed me to sit quietly in my cabin reading a book. We received .8 inches of rain yesterday all within about two hours causing the ground to become flooded for a little while. If you plan on summiting today, remember those waterproof and warm layers. While it’s warm in the valley, it’s quite chilly here today! Good morning,
A heavy cloud cover is lingering over the mountain this morning. Not much of a sunrise to see this morning. The forecast is calling for another rainy day and after 0.8 inches yesterday we could use a dry day. Compared to the valley below seeing temps in the 90s, we are staying cool up here. Yesterday’s high came in at 67 degrees and looking to be the same today. Overnight lows seem to be staying in the low 50s. Be sure to pack that rain gear and expect wet conditions on the trails. Good Morning,
It’s almost the weekend! We’ve enjoyed our week so far with a mixture of much needed rain and sunshine. Temps are continuing to stay in the mid 60s currently but should be rising soon and the sun is shining brightly on us. Over the past 24 hours, we’ve stayed between the mid 60s to high 50s but are expecting another warm up into the afternoon. If you plan on hiking up today, remember to pack that rain gear as most days this time of year, we are predicted to have scattered showers in the late afternoon. Currently the crew are all hanging out outside getting ready to start their work for the day but loving the sunshine as it lasts. Come enjoy it with us! Good Afternoon,
Over the last 24 hours, we’ve received .08 inches of rain and have stayed around 60 degrees depending on cloud cover. Currently at 66 degrees with a light breeze, it’s a nice day to sit outside in a light jacket. We’re enjoying each other and our lovely llama boys today as we remain socked in at the moment. Make sure you stop by to see them on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays each week!! Good Afternoon All,
While currently sitting in clouds, we’ve seen the sun peek through a couple of times making us warm up and cool off quickly. Make sure you purchase a LeConte Hoodie when you get up here!! Overnight, we reached a low of 53 while yesterday our high was 70 degrees. Quite a warm one! Today, we’re currently at 63 degrees with a slight breeze that should continue through the evening. Over the next 24 hours, we are expecting rain this evening that will continue through most of the day tomorrow. Remember to pack that rain gear! Good morning all,
It’s another’s clear beautiful sunrise this morning. As I make breakfast I am graced with a sky full of bright pink and orange colors. Forecast are calling for these clear conditions to remain for majority of the day. Rains not expected till later this evening. With such clear sunshine pouring down on us we are looking to see temperatures in the low 70s. Expect trail conditions to but hot, especially at exposed areas. The valley below is looking to be closer to 90 degrees so be sure to hike with plenty of water. |
