It was a cold night last night. The low reached 31 with a high yesterday of 56. We have had a couple of gorgeous days up top. Winter is quickly approaching. If you ever wonder what the crew likes to do on their days off. Here is a story for you. John has decided that he wanted to complete all of the trails leading to the lodge in one day. Not only does he want to complete all of the trails, he wants to add a few miles on to that total. John is aiming to hike 50 miles in one day. As I am typing, we are expecting him to pass thru from the Boulevard. So believe it or not, a lot of the crew likes to hike in their time off. I will keep you posted on Johns

Weather conditions on the mountain are windy and cloudy. The high yesterday was 61 with a low of 41. Blue sky keeps trying to show thru the layer of clouds. I have to say I was amazed yesterday when we had another bear sighting. A rather large bear wandered thru camp during dinner. It was the largest bear I have seen in camp in my 8 seasons. Chris and I estimate it weighed between 200 and 250 lbs. It did have an ear tag, and it showed the same signs as the bear we had in camp earlier in the season. If it is the same bear, it has been eating well! |
