Oh, I think I hear Denny and Chester (pictured above). Let's listen in!
Chester: Hey, Denny? Why isn't The Brushy Mountain Trail a recognized trail to LeConte Lodge?
Denny: Well, I could be mistaken, but I do believe it is because a significant portion of that route is on the Trillium Gap Trail, which as we all know, is an officially recognized trail to the top.
Chester: But the Brushy Mountain trailhead sign reads 9 miles to Mt. LeConte. What's up with that?
Denny: Of course, just because it's not an "official" trail does not mean that it's not a viable option for traveling to the top of Mt. LeConte. People still need to know how far it is so they can be prepared for the 9 mile jaunt.
Chester: I'm picking up what you're putting down. Thanks for the helpful info. Oh no be quiet! Here comes Wrangler Alan with the pancakes!
