It is a spectacular day on the mountain. There is a picnic table with your name on it. Plenty of time to hit the trail and hike up to check out the views and enjoy the cool breeze. Labor Day weekend is starting out to be top notch!!

Great pic, Allyson. Wish I were there now...but soon...very soon. 9/11. So looking forward to the overnighter. Don't like the forecast though...calls for isolated and/or scattered thunderstorms for the hike up and down. Can you talk to the weather man and ask him to change it? Sure wish Mother Nature would change her mind and give me a day about 70 degrees with blue skies and sunshine. See you soon!

Hard to believe it's been 10 days since we've been up and down. We had a lovely time-I was so proud of my 2 daughters (8 &10) for making the tough trek up Alum!

How's the reception up there for the football games? Just kidding - rather be in that splendid beauty much more than any football game for sure. Enjoy.

Was up there today. Met Ms. Allyson. Was nice to meet you Ms. Allyson. Thanks to the gentelman who gave us two bottles of water at the top. We had camelbaks, but tried the camelbak elixir mix in the water and it was awful. We drank it, but the fresh water was great. It was a hot hike up. Oh yea, Meredith that's a nice tattoo. Good day!

Your latest photo isn't as spectacular as all the ones of the flower blooms and other scenes, but for me it's a favorite view of the lodge area; In my visits to the lodge I've sat at those picnic tables quite often, and usually late on a clear night just gazing at the heavens; very glad you posted it; if you want rain, drive a surveyor's stake in the middle of a yard and walk around it seven times; I used to try this when I worked as a civil/mining engineer and although it never really worked, it sure made me feel a bit better ! G'day. Comments are closed.
