Make Time For Yourself

Chris enjoying the view on our 'date night'.
Between crew, guests, and dayhikers, sometimes you have to take a moment to breath. Chris and I were able to have a brief "date night" while watching sunset. We try and take a few minutes each day to remember why we love our job so much. Between the people we meet and the beauty of the mountain, it is a "no-brainer".

Yesterday was another prime example of what this mountain has to offer. The high was 54 and it was a gorgeous day. The rain held off until last night.

Allyson,

I didn't think it was possible but your pictures seem to be getting more beautiful as the days go by. This is breath taking. FYI, not Chris, the scenery. HA

Allyson,

Great pic! Where was this shot taken?

Chris,
That shot was taken a little ways off of Alum at the top. Sometimes you have to climb to get the shot least taken. :)
P.S. I am not saying climbing as in rock climbing, I am simply saying a few feet off the trail.

The post reminds me of my favorite rule in Zombieland. Enjoy the little things.

Another great photo Allyson. Chris definitely looks zen like.

Can't WAIT! Love the recent pictures, I just wish that they had ME in them! hee hee

Looks like we plan on trying our hand on the Alum trail on Sunday 4/3/11, bright & early. Will we see anyone who regularly write in on this blog on the trail that day?

We'll be the couple with the 2.5 yo in a backpack carrier. Olay! :D

Hey!!! We leave Friday to head that way and can hardly wait for our hike on Saturday. We are coming up from Montgomery, Alabama with 2 of our best friends, Mary & Bill Ashely. Looks like the rain may hold off......
