Spot the deer!
A very warm 65/49 day is going to be even warmer today!

It's 9:30 and a whopping 66 degrees!

No, not talking about deer.

Talking about bears!

We had bears walking through camp last so if you are spending the night please remember to put all food items in the metal bins n the office, make sure your porch is free of personal belongings, and don't run from the bear!

Stand your ground and make as much noise as possible.

Llamas are coming up today so leave room for them in the Trillium parking lot!

Rynn, we are back home now but still reliving the wonderful time we had Wed. evening & Thurs. morning on the mtn. top. Everyone was so nice, the food was wonderful & even loved the cabins! Wishing you all a wonderful rest of the season up there & will be checking your post on the blog frequently. Will wear my new t-shirt with pride!

Marsha: Our group has seen bears several times at the lodge and every time has been special. From a darting by the Park Service to being chased from the shelter area, the bears are part or the experience. Just stay away and watch, they are something special to see. I'm not real excited to see them on the trail, but I have seen them there as well. It is awesome!

I can't find the deer, but I did spot Waldo.

Kent, you have Waldo on the brain after sitting in the hospital emergency room all day with your mom staring at that "Where's Waldo" poster! *smiles* 😊 Deer.....just below dead center of the picture. Is the deer standing in the middle of some cone flowers that haven't bloomed yet? Have a beautiful weekend up there! 🐝

It was a frustrating experience! But luckily nobody else will have to go through that hell again, because once I found him, I circled him with a permanent marker.

Came up on 6.8.16 for a two night stay for my 55th birthday. Had an awesome time. The bear was between our cabin # 9 and # 8. The staff was wonderful and the meals were filling. Sunset from Cliff Top was amazing. Took us 5.5 hours to go up Trillium and 2.55 hours to go back down. I'm so glad we did this. Take care and I think I'm hooked!
