 Moon rise on trail. Happy Halloween! It seems as though the weather is fit for the holiday today, a bit dark and dreary. But that has done nothing to deter the hikers who have come to trick or treat at high altitude! Yesterday's high was 50 and the low was 29 overnight. Right now it is overcast and 47 degrees. Everyone have a safe and happy Halloween!

 It was a cold, pink morning but there was a warm lamp burning in the window. The sun is back! And just in time for the weekend...and we are busy already up top! Yesterday's high was 50 degrees and the low overnight fell to 28. We received a few sprinkles over the course of the day accumulating to .13" total. Today is bright and blue and beautiful! Already 49 degrees without a cloud to be seen for miles. Superb weather conditions for Halloween weekend!  The crew had an infamously wild night last night...Ryn, a newer addition to our crew numbers, gave Walt an introductory crochet tutorial while Austin, a self-proclaimed "level 6 crochet master" works on a piece that is, as of now, in undecided form. Trevor, another newer face to our crew, could have finished a set of coasters by tomorrow. And being a knitter myself, I marveled at the idea that anyone could make something with only one needle...  One season framing another. Hello, hello! It seems we are in for another cloudy day, but it seems there may be sunshine (along with colder temperatures) on the way this weekend! Yesterday saw us socked in a cloud for the entire day, but venturing a few miles down Rainbow Falls trail and out of the clouds I was able to catch some beautiful color in the valley. Yesterday's high was 50 degrees and the low was 39. We received almost an inch of rain shortly before sunrise. Currently it is 40 and misty.
 Chuck is ready for him close-up. Good morning, good morning! Another picture perfect day! Yesterday's high was 59 and the low overnight was 37. Once again it is clear and blue, but a little warmer already today- already 52 degrees! It is going to be an amazing weekend and I hope that everyone enjoys it!
 Oh what a lovely week we are having! Another gorgeous day from the mountain top. Yesterday's high was a warm and sunny 58 and the low was only 37 overnight...a bit warmer than the temperatures we have been experiencing this week so far. Currently it is clear, blue and 43 degrees. A perfect day! Come and enjoy it with us!  Nightcicles on Trillium the other evening.  Rockin' at the break of dawn... Good morning! It's another beautiful October day at the lodge! Yesterday's high was only 51 and the overnight low was 27...cold and clear all day! Today looks about the same, clear blue skies and 46 degrees. It has been very busy up top and I am so glad that so many people are getting out to experience this glorious weather!
 Colors on Alum Cave Trail. Good morning, all! Another frosty, clear autumn morning on the mountain top! Yesterday's high only reached 49 and it was sunny all day. The overnight low fell to 22. Right now it is clear as a bell and 37 degrees. Hot chocolate weather for sure and we have plenty waiting for you up top! Happy fall hiking!
 October mountains. Good morning from another beautiful fall morning! It is clear and cold again today, right now only 41 degrees. Yesterday's high was 53 and the low overnight was a cool 33. We received no rain yesterday and it doesn't look like we are in for any today either. Happy hiking!
