Hello down there!! Happy holiday weekend! Let's just hope it stays dry for us. What a busy day so far. Justin and Walt have been selling merch, food and drinks like they are going out of style. Justin is even making a second batch of the famous chocolate chip cookies. #notTollhouse

We support #stonestrong Peace Hello down there!!! It is great being back on the blog! So much is happening up here today. Miss Jessica is cooking her first crew meal, new crew member P-nut is learning how to make the perfect bed, the llamas are coming up, and our incinerator is back in action. The weather today started out sunny and warm, but unfortunate it's feeling like sprinkles. There is a good chance if you are hiking up today you will get wet. It is currently 54 degrees and now cloudy. Yesterday's high reached 59 and the low dropped to 37 degrees. We received zero precipitation over night. Hike safe ya'll
55 was the high yesterday, making the boomers (aka squirrels) act more insanely possessive of rooftops than usual.
Oh well. 36 was the clear, moonlit low and spectacularly pretty. Its a day for show tunes. Not even joking. It was 46 yesterday after the wind and fog burned off, and we had a fantastic 36 night with the moon lighting up camp. It was gorgeous. Keep an eye out for your fellow hikers while hiking up!
Alum is closed again till Thursday so plan accordingly. It's cold up here! A rainy, cloudy, windy 49 turned into a very windy, very chilly, very rainy 35! 35! That's cold! Pack for rain! The llamas are braving this nasty bit of weather today, give them your support when you see them.
So far Park Service has been able to collar one of the bears hanging around, so if you see any hiking up let us know! It was a toasty, damp, misty, rainy 49 followed by a misty, rainy, damp 44 night. Park service collared themselves a bear last night! Bring your rain gear guys!
Llamas will be up tomorrow. Remember to tell us where you see bears! |
