It was a sunny hot 72/53 day with thunderclouds knocking in the background.

No rain though! Always a possibility on the mountain so be prepared.

We have llamas today!

Please let us know if there are any trees down on Trillium, otherwise the boys can't come up and see us!

Take your time coming up and stay hydrated!

What a great place to take a nap or to sleep the night. Do you all rent the hammock on a nightly basis?

Wow. That looks like a NICE place to stop and take a nap.
I hope the heat wave we're having here in mid-TN doesn't slam you all. Most importantly I hope you don't have another 80 degree day. I know the first 80 degree day was in recent years (and well recorded on the blog) but what was the date of that historic weather day?

Hiked to LeConte that day. A park ranger was in the Alum Cave parking area alerting hikers about the heat and humidity.
