The crew is outside soaking up the warmth of the sun. Meredith found a great spot to get her daily dose of vitamin D. The temperature is on the rise. It is currently 53 and moving upward. Yesterdays high was 59 with a low of 28.

Chad - Take Alum Cave Trail. My girls and I have taken the trail for the past two years and love it. It's only 5 1/2 miles and it's beautiful. Plus, the rangers take this trail as well.

I have only hiked to Mt LeConte twice and took Alum Cave Trail both times. What is your vote for "second best"? I just completed my 6th trip up the mountain yesterday - it was a beautiful day, and the views were spectacular!!! I have been up (or down) all of the trails. It all depends on what you want (waterfalls, the llamas, old growth forest, or great, long-distance views. They are all worth a try. ACB is a great trail, but I think the others all have something to offer as well.
