What we get from this adventure is just sheer joy. And joy is, after all, the end of life. We do not live to eat and make money. We eat and make money to be able to live. That is what life means and what life is for. George Mallory
It is a beautiful, clear day up top. The high yesterday reached 48 degrees! The overnight low brought a little bit of winter back and hit 22 degrees. It was 22 degrees and clear at 7am observation. The mountain received no new rain or snow and there is no snow remaining up top. There is very little ice remaining on Alum and it looks as though it may stay that way throughout the week. The trails are in great shape. It is easy to savor these boldbright days and clear starstrewn nights.
