It has turned out to be another rainy day. We will not be resupplying to today. It is far to rainy and nasty to be outside taking pictures, so I thought I would share with you a picture of the youngest guest we have had this year. This is Olivia's second trip up Mt. LeConte. She visited us when she was just a baby. She is now 23 months old. She really enjoyed the Tang. They bundled her up and back down this morning.

I sure enjoy your photos and comments. Hopefully the warm weather will allow some outdoor activities. Did you ever add up a cumulative snowfall for the winter?

I met Olivia and her grandmother and (I guess her mother) at Alum Cave Bluff at about 2:45 while they were on their way up. The weather was wet, cold and windy and there was a lot of deep, hard packed snow high on the mountain. I was fearful that they would not make to the Lodge until I learned that the Grandmother was from Norway. I am glad they did, indeed, reach the top and appeared to be in great condition.

Unbelievable. I just now happened upon this picture (eight months after it was posted). I was actually at the Lodge during Olivia's first visit. It was at the very end of the 2008 season. In fact, I have a couple of pictures of Olivia and her mom to prove it. Olivia would have been about seven months old at the time. I even remember meeting Froydis. I have told many friends about the little baby that I met on LeConte back in November of 2008. I am very happy to now be able to put names with the faces in those pictures. Thanks for posting this!
