We were greeted this morning by a fabulous sunrise. It is the mountain's way of reminding us the many reasons why this place is so special. It is looking like it going to be a repeat of yesterday. Chris and I had beautiful hike up. The weather was perfect and the snow was melting. We hiked up Alum Cave trail and the conditions were fine. There were a few patches of black ice, but we were able to work our way around them with no problems. The high yesterday was 44º with a low last night of 18º. As you can tell, we are experiencing pretty wide ranges of temperatures. Make sure you bring clothing to layer with. We want you to be comfortable while enjoying this stunning local.
As Nathan said in his post yesterday, the llamas will be making a trip up today. Today is grocery day for the crew. It is always an exciting day, we get mail and fresh food for the week. It goes a long way when you are up for a few weeks. You learn to look forward to a fresh piece of fruit. I

I would be weighing down one of those poor llama's with all the fruit and veges I eat. Beautiful picture today.

Yes, that porch and chairs look inviting. Since I will never physically be able to be there.I have a wonderful imagination. I can picture me sitting there viewing the mountains and listening to the birds sing. :-) Sigh ! I so enjoy reading the blog.

Sherleen, if you get the chance, go up Ski mountain above OberGatlinburg to The Summit resort. You have a wonderful view of Mt. le Conte. No reservations required to look around and you drive up. it is my favorite view of the mountain other then being there. Comments are closed.
