As we rose from our beds this morning, we saw an unexpected site... MORE SNOW. There was no forecast for the snow but we've received over two inches within the last three hours and are currently sitting at 27 degrees without much movement. Those traction devices are a must on the trail as under the new powder, there is a layer of ice in some areas. Be careful on the hike up!
Today, were expecting the snow to continue into the afternoon hours with cloud cover. Overnight tonight, we'll stay at those freezing temps causing more freezing. At the moment, the llamas are still expected to make a trip to the lodge tomorrow. Throughout the rest of the week, expect ice on the trail and chilly temps as you reach the summit.
