Hello,

All of crew, guests, llama and wildlife of the mountain are in the highest of spirits today as we finally have a sunny day! Thats right, after about 4 days of nothing but rain and clouds we are now soaking in the sunlight with the biggest of smiles. Today we are expecting highs to float in the mid 40s which is a nice change of pace from the low 30s it was last night. The weekend is shaping up to have some beautiful weather conditions at the summit with no chance of rain or clouds though temps are expected to drop after nightfall into the low 30s. So put on those layers and come enjoy this sunshine with us at the lodge.

I’m so fascinated by the llamas & their part in bringing supplies to the lodge.. Love the daily updates.. I am curious as to my hubby & my selves ability to hike to the lodge.. how far of a hike is it.. He has back issues & I have knee issues but so intrigued by the Beautiful majestic park of the Amazing Smoky Mtns. If not us I’d love my daughter & S-I-L to experience this.. Thanks for the posts.. & Pics!! Enjoy each & every one! ❤️🌳🌲🌿🍃🌾🐻🦌🦃🐿🐾🐛🦋🐌🐝🐞🦆🦅🦉

Coming next week, up the Alum trail, then hiking the Boulevard yrail to the AT on thru to Davenport. Scared to death I wont make it, but have determination.

We are coming from Kansas for the first time to hike LeConte On Sunday! What’s the Llama schedule for this weekend and does the lodge offer lunches to hiker guests? Thanks and hope to see y’all soon!
