It has been a morning spent in the clouds. The dense fog leaves visibility down to just a few feet. No breeze to speak of has camp feeling very still and slightly eerie. Even in gloomy conditions nature still has a way of being wonderful. I was lucky enough to catch a family of deer (6) up bright and early this morning as they searched for breakfast. It is currently 50 degrees outside and the sun is starting to make an appearance. Part cloudy but soon we will have clear skies and wonderful views again. Forecasts are not calling for any rain for the rest of the day or tomorrow. Temperatures at night are not dropping too low as last night it only reached the mid 40s. Cooler temperatures are expected at the higher elevations but at lower levels it can still be on the hotter side. So be sure to hike up with plenty of water.
