For your enjoyment, a look at what’s happening on the mountain during the closure. Time seems to be standing still and yet marches on as the seasons change.

I have been hanging on every word from your bloggers, for several years. I have been having withdrawals now that the post is only once a week. These pictures are beautiful, and such a wonderful birthday present for me today!

Boy if there were ever pictures that you make you feel like you did when you were there, it would be these

It's been probably 5 years since I've hiked LeConte. Which trail is that picture depicting the damage from the woolly adelgid? We've done Bullhead, Rainbow Falls, and Alum Cave and I just don't remember seeing damage like that...unless that's just from within the past 5 years.

Looks like it would be the safest place on earth . . . Hope the trails are opened up soon . . .

I hope you are faring well in this weird time! Based on the National park announcement here, https://www.nps.gov/grsm/planyourvisit/conditions.htm, does the Lodge have an estimate on when they will begin operations? I will be hopefully hiking up for the day on May 29th and wondered if the Lodge will be open for day hiker options (store, hot cocoa, etc.).
