53 yesterday dropped to 30 and it is yet again a gorgeous day. It is spectacular outside. No words can describe how wonderful it is out here. If you are coming up today please remember to be courteous to your fellow hikers by packing out all your trash!

I understand getting outside today. I'm heading out to the yard to do some brush clearing here in the lower elevations and wishing I was going to be snacking on a LeConte no-bake cookie this afternoon!

The crew up there on the mountain always comes through and does a great job of catering to their guests which is as it should be. But with all due respect and commendation, I wish that it didn't take so long for comments to be posted on this site. I know that the blog is far down on the priority list, but I miss the days when comments would be immediately posted despite some remarks of a questionable and sometimes derogatory nature, and these can be as quickly deleted as they appear. It was simply more of a quality site in those days, and more useful and frequently made use of by all of the decent and responsible readers.

Phillip- I understand your thinking but I had just gotten so sick of the negative comments that I was glad when they started approving each comment. I just have to remember to check it every day.

Had a wonderful time visiting with you on Thursday night. It was a spectacular couple of days, and we did make it down in one piece - not bad for some old ladies, right? Enjoy this beautiful weather!
