Are You Ready?

Rain in the forecast and a cold front moving in. That means SNOW is a possibility. I guess we will see what the next 48 hours brings. It has certainly been cold enough. The high yesterday was 55º with a low of 32º. The weekdays are not as busy as they have been. The leaf peepers are staying in the lower elevations and checking out the colors down there. I believe we are just around the corner from old man winter.

Allyson, now that the season is winding down, could you please tell us the average number of guests that visit the lodge each season.?

Al,
We average between 45 to 50 people a night.

I miss the GSMs, I lived there for a few years and loved it, but fell for a greater love and moved me to Germany. Glad I can still 'visit' at least online. We will travel back there for sure. Keep up the great 'work?' !

That's a really neat and different picture today. :) No snow here in Western Mi.yet, but they did get it north of here and up in the U.P. The sled dogs will be happy.
Hope you have your pumpkins hauled up early and this year they don't get covered in snow.

Yes, very good composition in the photo; closeups like this are a particular favorite of mine. I think I'll go to Radio Shack today and get some parts to build myself a "transporter" - - with it I could get up to the lodge for breakfast every morning rather quickly ! AH, but then I'd be missing all the hiking which is a large part of thje reason for going up there to begtin with. G'day.

We're hiking up on Fri Nov 1st via Trillium trail. Can you tell me what time the llamas head up that trail in the morning time? Thanks

It depends on who is leading them on that day. Crissy leaves around 7am and Alan leaves around 7:30 - 8am.

Fantastic photo, Allyson, which brings to mind; are you still planning on a 2014 calendar of all things beautiful on our mountain?

High On LeConte

Unfortunately, the calendar has been put on hold until next season. Due to printing issues, we could not get them out on time and thought it best to bring out a 2015 calendar for next season.
