Rabbit, rabbit! If this is a preview for how the rest of August will be then I will take back every mean thing I've ever said about the notoriously hottest and most humid month of the year. It is gorgeous today! Yesterday's high was 69 and the low was a chilly 40 overnight. Today it is clear, blue and a cool, calm, considerate 60 degrees! Perfect weather to come and visit us at the lodge! Happy hiking!

Well, I had no idea what the "rabbit, rabbit" meant, so I just looked it up. I could use all the good luck, or good fortune, I can get. So, since it's still the 1st, I better say Rabbit, Rabbit before the day's end! :) I love the "napping" in the cone flowers picture. It reminds me of when we were kids and would go outside and "hide" in the sunflowers or bushes or corn rows to get away from parents or siblings! To just be alone. "Napping" in the cone flowers also makes me think of ticks and chiggers! Haha! Ruthie, I guess you were having one of those days that you had to escape the Saturday rat race up there on Leconte and go "hide" in the cone flowers! 8/11/2015 09:53:04 am
