Lovely change of pace.
Back in the clouds! Yesterday was a mixed weather bag, sunny, cloudy, with a afternoon thunder shower that only dropped .01" in the mix. The high was 73 and the low was 56. It's been raining on and off all morning and the temperature today is only 57. The weather is supposed to be soggy all day, so keep that in mind when packing your bags today!

Lovely panoramic picture! I saved a similar one earlier this year, but everything was covered in snow. Boy, do I wish I was where you all are! 104 degrees here with a heat index of 108 to 109. We can't really go out and enjoy the outdoors. HAGD!

We are considering a day hike to the Lodge tomorrow via the Alum Cave Bluffs Trail. We were wondering if Alum will be really soggy or perhaps even impassable due to all the rain we are receiving tonight. Could someone please help us decide if tomorrow is a good day for a trip up Alum? Any insight anyone could give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

maby a little slick in the rocky areas - make use of the cables. not a lot mud on Alum, especially after you pass arch rock. should use caution on any trail during wet/rainy times but there should be no additional worries.

Ruthie, we just loved our two day stay with you and the crew. We had great weather and sunshine. We had very few showers on our way down, which we were happy about. We can't say enough about how great the staff was and the great food. We will be back. Thanks again.
