It's August, and just like that we're halfway through summer. We're thankful for these milder temps, which look to persist through the first part of the new month. It should definitely make things easier for the coming and going of guests and day hikers. We wrapped up the last day of July without any new precipitation. Yesterday's high temperature managed to reach 65 degrees, and the overnight low dipped to 45. It's been partly cloudy much of the day with temps in the upper 50's, and a limited sight line peering down into the Tennessee Valley. If you're staying with us in the coming weeks, it'll be a good idea to pack an extra layer or windbreaker for attending sunset. Getting to be a little cooler up on the rocks at Cliff Tops.
Enjoy the rest of your day.
