Today looks to be a day that will be spent in the clouds. All of camp is surrounded by heavy dark rain clouds. No rain has touched down yet and we have our fingers crossed we stay dry. Forecast are saying the highest chances of rain will be mid afternoon. Be sure to pack that rain gear. Despite weather the summit is already getting crowded as day hikers and overnight guest arrive. They are all greeted with a smiling crew ready to serve those delicious cookies and hot coffee. Don’t forget to get your “I hiked it 2019” apparel from our gift shop along with many other LeConte Lodge souvenirs. With little to no sunshine getting through these dark clouds we are staying cool. It is currently 61 degrees. Last night we dropped to 48 degrees.
