Waking up to cloud layers clinging to mountain tops this Wednesday. Every so often a dash of color from sunrise sneaks through like the gray veil wants to break open, only to get snuffed out. Such conditions were certainly the norm yesterday as numerous thunderstorms tip-toed around the lodge all afternoon. We managed to dodge all of them until supper time when the luck of staying dry ran out. The forecast looks similar for today, so have the rain shells ready in case a pop-up shower targets the mountain. Temps will be warm and humid once again as we start off in the upper 50s and should jump into the lower 70s. Still beats the heat wave happening below! Any air movement is a win with these conditions for keeping cool.
