Its a bit of an overcast kinda morning for us at 6593 feet. We were visited late last night by a crazy lighting storm with thunder so intense the cabins were rumbling. Odd enough we really didn't get much rain, only 0.1 inches. As the day continues and the sun gets a little higher in the sky we are expecting this cloud cover to burn off. Yesterdays high came in at 70 degrees while the valley below experienced temperatures in the low to mid 90s. Be sure to hike with plenty of water and expect trail conditions to be hot, especially at lower elevations. It is currently 63 degrees which isn't much of a change from last nights low of 57 degrees. We are expecting more rain later this afternoon but look to have dry days as we end the week.
