Good Morning,
The weekend is here and the clouds and rain along with it. The weather did a bit of a script flip yesterday when the skies decided to rumble and rain in the early afternoon hours instead of supper time. Caught a number of folks by surprise, but the showers never lasted long. Conditions should sour around lunchtime today and persist clear through Saturday. So weekend warriors should count on getting wet if Mt. LeConte is in your plans. The precip chances decrease for Sunday. Temps will also remain mild, with highs lucky to tap the 60s and overnight lows possibly dipping into the 40s. For some traveling from toasty states with long summers, that might sound fantastic. Have a great day.

We stayed the night of the 12th and hiked down Alum Cave on the 13th. The skies were beautiful for about 3 of the 5 and a half miles down. Once we arrived at Alum Cave, light rain had begun and stayed with us raining heavier throughout our descent to the trailhead. Nevertheless, we would rather be there than anywhere!!

Made my first trip to Mt. LeConte and the lodge on the 13th. It was a fabulous adventure! Thanks to the staff for being so kind, friendly and helpful.
