Hey, baby bear.
Good morning and happy weekend! Yesterday we went from sunny to downpours. Afternoon showers dropped .3" of rain on the mountain top, but that didn't seem to deter hikers in the least as we were very busy all day! The high yesterday was 63 and the overnight low was 51 and currently it is a cool and cloudy 58 degrees outside. Safe and happy trails to all!

If you have never visited the website Appalachian Bear Rescue, I highly recommend it! Great information about orphaned cubs and their release back to the wild with photos and videos. The site updates daily and is also on Facebook. http://appalachianbearrescue.org

The little one was a-bear-antly posing for that picture.--

*Please, somebody come up with a better pun than that (it's raining here in Nashville area and my brain's rusty!)

Poor little guy, he looks cub-pletely alone! I don't know if that's any better E. B. but opposite weather here, sunny and 100+...too hot to do anything outside that doesn't involve water! I'm bored too! It is a cute picture though! Peace!

I need to add my kudos to the employees and volunteer at ABR in Townsend, TN. The work they do in training these orphaned/ abandoned cubs to become large smart cubs , able to be returned to the wild and fend for themselves is quite heart warming. They've taken in about 13 cubs this season and it's not over yet. Follow them on Facebook as Diane suggested and you will become a fan of ABR too.

I can "bear-ly" wait to "cub-pliment" the blog on great wild life pictures. I "deer-ly" love and enjoy them. OK, that was bad but I couldn't help my self. My Dad was a great lover of puns. Guess maybe I inherited it.

That is maybe I "in-hare-ited" it.

Maybe the little guy is trying to find some "bear"ries! It's Sunday, funday, "pun"day!! And Jean, that was a pretty good one! Liked it! Have a great day! Peace!
