The rain stopped long enough to give us an amazing show of the valley below. The high yesterday was 52 with a low of 46. We received another inch on top of the 1.25" we received yesterday morning. This morning is wet. A lot of rain coming our way.

Very, very nice photo ! Great composition and depth. Makes me think I'm looking from a vantage point higher than 6K ft. I'll make this my desktop background for the week.

We loved it so much we put in for another stay next year. Weather its a day hike or another over night stay we will be back! Have a great day on that amazing mountain.

Thanks so much for these great daily posts. I am heading out for a section hike from Fontana to Peck's Corner and back via LeConte (shelter) this week; your updates on the weather have been instrumental in helping me plan!
