This is the longest period of time with high winds that I can remember in the past nine years. We have had winds for over 24 hours. The storms hit us hard last night. We had over 4.5 inches of rain. I am surprised the cabins did not end up in the rivers below. The winds are still howling, but the sun is trying to peek through. Hopefully we will have a nice day on the mountain.

We are coming up tomorrow with 10 and 12 yr old, planning on alum trail...with winds...any recommendations or suggestions? Concerned if we've packed the proper things. So looking forward to a new experience for our family!

What a tragedy! Looks like Mr. Bill the truck driver was blown plum off the mountain!

What is temperature up there today...we're thinking of hiking up tomorrow as well? Any ice on the trail?

I hope Mr Bill has AAA - getting a tow truck to the top is gonna be expensive - LOL! Comments are closed.
