but life is good and it's always worth living at least for a while.

and if thou shalt strive to live only what is really thy life, that is, the present, then thou wilt be able to pass that portion of life which remains for thee up to the time of thy death, free from perturbations, nobly, and obedient to thy own daemon [to the god that is within thee] Marcus Aurelius
Morning,

We had another mild, rainy day. The high was 42. The low was 32. It was 39 with wind and drizzle at observation. There was .40" of rain yesterday. All the trails are sure to be creeks today, so be ready to get wet. It looks like we may finally receive some snow tomorrow night!

The sun doesn't rise today. Day arrives as more of a gentle becoming. The sun illuminates shades of grey and they reflect on one another until you are forced to wonder; is it morning? The 7:47 sunrise is not so much a scientific fact as an offhand suggestion. I am forced to rely on my weatherproof sign that morning has arrived - the coffee is no longer too hot to drink.

Good morning J.P.. It is raining here in Indiana also. We can not complain though because the last few days here have been very nice.Great for hiking too but I am ready for some snow! Hiking in the snow is so beautiful! The state parks are a great place to hike when it snows and so are the national forests....beautiful!! Hope you get your snow!

Ok Hiker people its a good thing you can't reach through your computers and strangle me. But I must say Boooo to snow!! I live in Michigan and as I type its 48 with no snow. But I do hear its coming here too tomorrow. I will have to dig out my trax for walking so I don't fall on my dupa. Sure have enjoyed this winter. But I must say nothing like walking in the crisp fallen snow with it bending the branches of a pine tree over. Of course I do like not having to plow my driveway and driving in it. As always, Beautiful pics JP. Looks like a good day to curl up in a blanket and hot choc up there.

Haven't heard anything about the birds and animals in your posts for a while. I miss the animal action. The pictures have been nice.

Cathy,
I miss them too. Most everything has moved to lower elevations and without snow on the ground, tracking is difficult.
