Saturday morning sunrise

Well, it may be socked in down below, but we are enjoying a breathtaking view this morning. Inversions always make me want to take off my shoes and go for a walk across the pillowy clouds. It is a bit chilly this morning. The current temperature is 29º. The low last night was 26º with a high of 50º. Our rainfall yesterday was almost 1/2". The storms did blow out around dinner time. We had a beautiful view of the valley below. We are expecting a lot of foot traffic around the mountain. It is a perfect day for a hike in the woods.

Check out those nooks and crannies, and I am not talking about english muffins.

Awesome pics this morning Allyson and you're right, it does make you want to enjoy the feel of nature on your bare feet and between your toes. I so envy those coming up the mountain today! Wish everyone a safe happy exciting trip and loads of hospitality once they reach the top!

Wow! Both photos are beautiful! I have seen the inversion photos before and I agree with you... they look like you could just walk right out across the clouds! I have been down there (I'm from Ohio!) and have seen that and wanted to just take a nap on those big fluffy clouds. That bottom photo is gorgeous! Love the different colors in it... don't think I've seen one quite like that one before. It may make my "favorites" list!!!
