The mountain was full of hikers enjoying the amazing fall day. Fall breaks, around the south, have brought the families back to the mountain. The lodge is filled with laughing kids playing hide and seek. It has been a great fall. The cold weather is on its way.

What a beautiful photo! Now, if that's Lake Douglas way in the background, then my house is in that picture as we are located on the north shoe near Baneberry and we have a view of Mt. LaConte!

Spectacular picture, Allyson. Looks like the mountain is afire (and I know it is with color) and makes for a nice contrasting against the blue and gray color. We're experiencing Fall color here in Indiana but not as vibrant yet as yours but the leaves are falling, falling, falling. Thanks so much for your pictures and commentaries which help keep us lowlanders connected to THE MOUNTAIN from afar wishing every moment we were there every day to view it in person. You and everyone else connected with LeConte are much admired, envied and appreciated. Comments are closed.
