Morning y'all, It's a beautiful, misty day up top. The high yesterday reached 46 degrees. The overnight low was 38 degrees. It was 39 degrees and cloudy at 7am observation. The mountain received .62 inches of rain, which helped with some melt. We are down to about 2 inches of wet snow up top. The trails are sure to be soggy, so be prepared for a wet hike up. Get out and enjoy another classic Smokies day! I spent a lot of time yesterday on my porch. Occasionally, I worry that my attention span is shortening when I can't keep my focus while reading, but there is a different feeling to be captured from a book when it is read out of doors. I'd take breaks to watch the rain fall, slowly defeating our once impressive snowpack. It feels like the only guilt free way for my mind wander away from the pages of a good book...

Ahhh, that's the best picture yet, JP! Immediate smile across my face this morning! "Stick" figure snowman with a big smile on it's face! What were the leaves for, a hula skirt perhaps?

I think I can answer my own question....leaves off the snowman's "fingers". They still would make a cute "skirt"! Heehee! Have a beautiful day!

I'm a little more alert this morning and now I know what your snowman reminded me of, JP! If you add the leaves and craft a hula skirt and top....it would look like either the Skipper or his little buddy (Gilligan) on Gilligan's Island!!! I knew it reminded me of something! Heehee! Enjoy your "island" in the sky!
