Morning y'all,
It's a beautiful, clear morning up top. The high yesterday reached 41 degrees. The overnight low was 33 degrees, recorded early yesterday morning. It was 39 degrees and clear at 7am observation. The mountain received no new precipitation and there is no snow remaining up top. The trails are in fantastic shape, get out and enjoy them!
Grace and I enjoyed a leisurely Sunday with our friends Alex and Rob yesterday. We spent most of the afternoon reading and talking on the porch of cabin 6, lying in the sunshine and watching the ravens swirl from thermal to thermal. The squirrels were out in full force and I am half surprised that with the high temps and abundant sunshine that we didn't see any larger mammals. We had the luxury of time and let it stretch out as it does only on the mountain.
