Good morning, It’s currently 36 degrees and foggy up top. We received .45” of an inch of precipitation. Yesterday’s high was 46 degrees, with the low being 36 degrees. Cooler temperatures and light precipitation may create a great recipe for snow. Fingers crossed. -- The tap of rain made it challenging to rise out of bed. Finally dressed, I eased into the kitchen and lit the kettle. Tea was soon steeping. I called in the weather, grabbed my mug and wandered around in the fog and rain, taking note of the cooler temperatures. If the temperatures kept falling, the whole mountain would become an ice block. I laughed at the thought. Back in the kitchen, I relit the kettle for a second round of tea. How many bouts with the kettle would this moody Monday bring? Book in hand, I intended to find out. Onward, Seth "A cabin with plenty of food is better than a hungry castle."

It would appear the picture is taken from Myrtle Point and the picture suggests you were there at sunSET. What kind of craziness is that? Everyone knows that you shoot sunRISE at Myrtle Point and sunSET at the Cliff Tops. I am certain that directive is in your stack of memos! All of that aside, Clingmans Dome is dead center in the picture and I am never able to see the tower from pictures. What's with that!? Finally, with the sun coming from the west, the haze or "Smoke" of the Smoky Mountains is so perfectly captured. Finally the woodwork is wonderfully shown in the lower photo. Bravo!

Good guess, but the shot was, in fact, taken from Cliff Tops; though, I have been known to venture east for a sunset or two.

Both photos are stunning! The cabin photo is special ... makes one long to be there and stay a while.

Luv the quote. Sympathizing with the moody Monday- goes well with worn and weathered blue cabin door. This too shall pass- onward.
