2010 Season soon to start!

Welcome to the official LeConte Lodge information blog. Chris and I are excited to share with you news from Mt. LeConte. We would also like to thank our winter caretaker, Doug McFalls ,for keeping you informed about the wonderful mountain we like to call home. He certainly had his hands full this winter with the record amounts of snow.
It is time to dust off our packs and find our crampons. Friday is the day the crew returns to the mountain. From what it sounds like, we will probably hike up Alum Cave Bluffs trail. I guess I should also say thanks to all of you avid hikers that have been up the mountain in the past week. I am sure I will be appreciating the nice trail you have made for us.
I am looking forward to hearing from everyone. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, feel free to send me a note. Now, it is time to go start a new season on LeConte.

I am so happy to see the new blog is getting started. I can't wait to get up to the Lodge this summer. I have been coming for years and the crew is awesome! We enjoy seeing the pictures and getting information even when we are not on the mountain. I look forward to visiting this site daily. Stay warm!

Allyson,
The new website looks Great! I am so excited that you will sharing information with the rest of us. It is great to know it is coming from the manager, who better would know what is going on day to day. I know you have had many years experience up there and probably seen it all. I can't wait to see the pictures you post. I'm excited, so have a great hike up and we'll stay tuned for more.

We love the LeConte website.We are doing our first hike to the lodge this September on my 40 birthday.I am so excited.Can not wait to experience the beautiful sunrises and sunsets on the mountain.The lodge and cabins are so neat looking,can not wait to get there and meet everyone.

Hiked Mt. LeConte last October with my husband (our 30th wedding anniversary trip), mother, father, sister, and brother-in-law. I must say it was one of the most amazing things I have ever experienced! Doug McFalls and all the folks there were GREAT! My husband and I are on the waiting list for this year and pray we get to return. We would love to make it an annual trip. THANK YOU to everyone who works on the mountain and/or has anything to do with the goings on of Mt. LeConte. You are to be praised for your hospitality and dedication to every visitor!
