If you have been reading this blog for a while, you may remember when I ran down the trail to make it in time for my friend to give birth to a healthy baby boy. Fifteen months later, Hunter Hansen made his maiden voyage to the top of Mt. LeConte. It was great seeing my friends and getting hang out with "lil' man". I am sure this is the first of many trips. Who knows, maybe we have another LeConte crew member in the making. They had a great day for the hike down the mountain. The high was 60 degrees with a low of 40. It sounds as though today is going to be a repeat.
Sounds like pretty great weather there.

Seriously Debi? you only had to call 6 times? I had to call over 1000 times. Question is Debi, would have called that many times? Of course you would have! You are like me, obsessed with that mountain. Can't wait for Nov 9th. Not sure how much snow I will bring from Alabama but we will see.LOL
No Brian, I only called 6 times. Then decided to just hope for the best. And I got picked for the lotto. The first time I was up there in 2009 I called 416 times and almost hung up. I was thinking it was going to be busy again and it rang.

Haha, and when I did get through on the 2nd day, I had already been picked in the lotto. Can't wait to get back up there. I want to spend a night in each month of the year on top. So far we have oct, nov, april and june. Will get may next year. Hopefully a shelter visit or 2 between now and then.

Funny how everyone is smiling, except for the gentleman carrying the "baby pack". What a trooper! Comments are closed.
