We had a bonus llama trip today. Our farm girls, Bonnie and Chrissy, were excited to do a girl's llama trip up the mountain. The only problem is that the llamas are all males. We can't use female and male llamas in the same train because it causes to much "llama drama". So, the Leconte Llamas are all males. I am sure this post is going to provoke all sorts of great comments. Anyway, Chrissy and Bonnie had a great trip up. They are starting to get caught up after our bad weather days. Who wouldn't want to be out there hiking today? It is a gorgeous day up top. It was 58º yesterday was a low of 39º. People are soaking up the rays all over the mountain.
Chris and I are getting packed up for our days off. I will post tomorrow morning and then pass it on to Nathan. I am sure you are all excited to hear his wild tales. He has some good ones this season. A winter in Uganda will make for some interesting material. Yes, "llama drama" can lead to little lovely llamas lounging lazily located locally at Leconte Lodge ! One of the reasons other than I avoid most of the tourists on Alum {although a few take Trillium up to Grotto Falls and no further} that my favorite trail of late is the Trillium trail is that I get such enjoyment seeing those llamas. I usually arrive at the trailhead as they're being unloaded and get out ahead of them, but I pause at the falls and watch them parade by; then I sometimes try to hike behind them a respectable distance but my knees slow me down a bit and I gracefully watch those curious creatures disappear ahead of me. I think they're simply interesting. Yes, letting llama lasciviousness linger leisurely could liberate lots of loquacious lusty llama language ! G'day

I met LeConte Lodge staffers, Pat and Jeanie Lawley, yesterday on Porters Creek trail. I told them they could stay at my house on days off some time. Please give them my email address (listed in the Reply info) so they can get in touch.

And when the government shut down last year, and no one, including llamas, could get to the lodge, was that an Obama llama drama? Comments are closed.
