It is a nasty sunday morning on the mountain. We are currently watching the rain pour down and melt the snow. The temperature is 37º which is creating a big ole' slushy mess. We have about 5" of snow still on the ground and we received a little over half an inch of rain over night. If you are hiking up today, please remember to bring extra clothes to change into. You ARE going to get wet. On the flip side, when you reach the top, we have comfy flannel pants you can purchase and sport around camp. We are selling them for $27. Speaking of selling, we had a run on the Yak Traks. We currently have 7 pairs of small on the mountain. We are hoping to get restocked some time next week. Please do not hike up here over the next few days thinking you will purchase them at the top, because we are almost out of them. I don't expect our stock to last much longer. I will keep you up to date on availability.

Cool pants and I like the burgandy shirt too. Is that the only color you have for pants? Happy Easter everyone.

Happy Easter to all fortunate enough to be on top of one of my favorite mountains anywhere! I hope you all enjoy your day, wishing the rain would stop and give you some sunny skies. Welcome to all the new staff! I will see you in July for an overnight, if not sooner for a day hike!

Glad Spring might be finally getting to the mountain. Sunny Easter day here in Indiana. Love the PJs....save some for me when I come up in September. Do they have the same log as the t-shirts this year and say I hiked it? I'm assuming you can only buy them up top and not at the Online store??? They would make nice Christmas gifts for all my family who have made the trip up there with me if they didn't have this years date on them. Happy Easter to all who are up top today.

Hi LeConte crew, this is Sherri with the Atlanta outdoor club and we spent Sat night with you. Thanks so much for your hospitality. I did purchase the beautiful flannel pants and hope to send you a picture from another adventure. The hike down Rainbow Falls was initially very slushy followed by muddy. Any night on LeConte is a good night and I hope to see you again soon Comments are closed.
