Happy Birthday to the United States of America

from LeConte Lodge

I hope everyone has a wonderful 4th of July. The crew is excited to celebrate together and watch the fireworks displays happening all over the valley. It is always a treat to see what the citizens of Sevier County have to offer.

I am certain nothing was meant by this, but it would appear the flag is flying over the urinals and between the urinals and the outhouses.
Any chance it could be moved to either over the office or over the dining room? Granted, we live in an imperfect union, but today we ought to celebrate our aspirations and achievements as a nation and fly the flag as a declaration of who we the people are and display it in such a way as to invite people to gather with pride. . .

We hiked to Brushy Mountain on July 4th. About half way we found a bag that the Llama's dropped. I begged my husband to carry it to the top of LeConte. The big baby said, "No it is to hot and we were just up there 3 days ago. The Llama guy will see it and get it on there way down!" I tried to help. hahha
