I'm sure everyone is wondering what happened to yesterday's post... I apologize for the lapse; due to some technical difficulties I was unable to post yesterday. When you live in the middle of the woods the extravagances we sometimes take for granted don't always work on your schedule. We have had some amazing days here on the mountain recently. This is one of the most beautiful summers I've spent here. We reached 70 degrees again Thursday and only dropped to 52 overnight. It looks like it is going to be another gorgeous day high atop Tennessee. We are looking forward to a nice holiday weekend and we hope the weather stays warm and sunny so everyone can get out to enjoy it!

Glad to see the rain has stopped. We are headed up on sunday for our 30th trip. When we first came as a young family we said we wanted to do it with out grandchildren. We are bringing both of them for the second year. It's wonderful to pass the love of the mountain on. See ya' Sunday, God willing and the creeks don't rise.

I'll be in the lowland watching the fireworks in G-Burg Monday night. I would love so see a video clip of them from your view.

I wish that I knew your secrets of how to capture those amazing photos. I have experimented with different settings on my Canon camera but still can't come close to duplicating those awesome sunrise/sunset photos. 7/1/2011 09:14:11 am
I bet the Firework shows from atop the mountain are awesome. You should try to get a little video and share on here. :P

Loving the weather is cooperating. I'm getting itchy for my hike up next week. I can't believe it's been 9 months already since I made my reservations. See ya on the top Tuesday! Comments are closed.
