The sun is trying to peek through the heavy cloud coverage. It could be a great day up top. No matter the weather, the hikers have been making their way up our beloved mountain. We have seen an influx in families over the past couple of weeks. I love seeing young kids running around camp and exploring what Mt. LeConte has to offer. I like to think that at least one of the kids that makes the hike will turn out to be a park ranger, park biologist, or at least a member of the 2024 LeConte crew.
We had another wet day yesterday. The high was 58º with a low of 45º. The sky let loose on us several times through out the day. All of this rain has turned the mountain top a lush green.

Thank you so much for another great time on top. The 20 some of us had a wonderful time and was thrilled to see all of you. As always great service, going to miss you, but i know you have rainbows to follow. I am sure the little ones will return one day with family's of thier own. Our entire family has been there at one time or another. Great photo of the cabin today. Very nice. I spent Tuesday and Wednsday in the Elkmont campground, mostly to observe the synchronous fireflies. Unfortunately, a little rain Tues afternoon may have dampened the display, so I wlll make better plans for next year, stay longer, and include a few nights up at the lodge ! I met a nice fellow in the site next to me and I described his unique style of camping on my own site today. He certainly had camping down to his own fine art ! A good friend gave me a sample of your spices, Allyson and Chris, and I am contemplating just how to enjoy them and on what to use them. I'll bet this product would sell well here. Good day to all.

Doug Y , as all ways, you are right , if not read in a week , most likely want be read. i noticed that fireflirs here north of Atlanta only blink one time , or at least in my back yard !
