Hi Ho, Hi Ho It's Off To Work We Go!!

3/13/2011

I know the quote for my song is not as cool as Alex's, but we are back on the mountain and getting ready for business. The crew hiked up yesterday in a nice slushy mess. There is currently 7" of snow on the ground and it is melting quickly. The trail was a slushy, wet mess. The high on the mountain reached 43 with a low last night in the low 30's. It is currently 35 this morning.

We are happy to be home and gearing up for another season. I hope everyone had a great winter. Chris and I stayed around Gatlinburg and worked on our house. I am becoming quite the home improvements gal.

I guess it is time to go scrub the kitchen down. We take everything out of the kitchen and scrub it from top to bottom and then watch everything as it is returned to its  place. Should be a fun day.

When do you start refiling the LP gas tanks and flying them up to the top of the mountain?

I sing that song every Monday morning going out the door to work. Now that I think about it, you had amazing commute to work. LOL

At least yesterday was a bright sunny day. Glad to hear that y'all arrived in your seasonal home safe and sound. Was thinking about hiking up Alum today at least as far as the bluffs....Based on the snow photo that you posted, may not do that today....later this week. Don't work too hard. See all of you soon.
