I am dreaming of a hammock on a beach with a fruity drink in a coconut. Days like yesterday make me appreciate my down time. I think every Alabama fan in the state hiked up yesterday. I think we broke a record for amount of hot cocoa consumed on the mountain. It was a great day for it. Everyone who came in told me how cold their hands were. Holding that warm mug made all the difference. The high was 51 with a low of 31. I am predicting a repeat today. The day has already started out in a spectacular fashion.

I'll be sitting on the beach on Tybee Island at the end of the week. While I'm sitting there watching the waves I'll have a "fruity drink" in your honor Allyson.

I'm guessing it was taken from the Bullhead Trail just below West Point. The near ridge is likely Rocky Spur with Gatlinburg just out of frame to the right.

This picture was taken from the first look out on rocky spur facing N.E. The other pic was taken from the second look out on rocky spur. It is looking toward Brushy Mountain.

Just got back to Nashville from our night at LeConte with Woodmont Christian Church Family. Suburb time at the lodge as usual (may have gained weight) and always a joy to see friends and make new ones at LeConte Lodge. Thanks so much to the staff for all their hard work and great food! We are on the calendar for next year (will make forth year) and our 8 y/o was already chatting it up before we even got down the mountain today. One of God's treasures! Comments are closed.
