_Morning,
It looks like it will be another beautiful day up top. The skies are clear and the forecast is promising. The high reached 53 degrees yesterday. The low yesterday was 30 degrees and it was 37 degrees and clear at 7am observation. If I were on the fence about visiting LeConte in the winter months, I'd hike up today. Who knows, it could be the last chance before we get some serious snow... or at least before the holidays. The trails are in great shape for this time of year and as long as you bring the ten essentials, extra food, layers and a headlamp you should be set. Be aware that the sun's been setting around 5:30 and ambient light can bring you home until 6sh. Happy hiking! Oh, and if anyone is wondering.... Cabot Cheese, Green Mountain Coffee (a darker roast) and a Sunday New York Times would make my weekend! New England nostalgia!

JP, love the macro shots you're getting. What camera are you using for those? Here's also hoping that you get some snow to make up for last year's dry winter up top. I may not comment all the time, but I do check the posts daily to see what quotes, songs, thoughts, and images you're offering. Thanks.

I, too, check your post every day. It's a great way to "cyber-visit" LeConte when there isn't time to hike up! By the way, was the photo of you at the top of the page taken in the lookout tower at Shuckstack?

As I'm eating my raw fresh broccoli I'm thinking about you up there JP Sorry had to rub it in. Any extra food bring to JP, I'm sure he'd appreciate it greatly. Wish I didn't live 12 hours away, I'd bring you some.
